Bathroom Upgrades: Ways to Enhance Your Guests’ Stay

Having guests over can be nerve-wracking at times. As hosts, you naturally want to make sure their stay is pleasant and comfortable. There are several ways to spruce up your home, but don’t forget the single most important factor in a guest’s stay: comfort.

In particular, the bathroom experience tends to make or break a guest’s stay. But there are many ways to improve this space.

Add Some Windows

Don’t underestimate the benefits of sunlight. Natural lighting can improve your guests’ mood and make your bathroom seem bigger – an important benefit, considering bathrooms are usually the smallest part of the house.

We understand some homeowners might be reluctant to install windows in their bathroom due to privacy concerns. However, they can simply add drapes or install frosted-glass windows to strike a balance between privacy and natural lighting.

Shower Benches

Some people like to take their time in the bathroom. And, who can blame them? Long, warm showers can be relaxing. You can make it even more relaxing for your guests by installing shower benches. Just make sure the bench’s tiles match the rest of your bathroom.

Install an Underfloor Heating System

However, after a relaxing shower, your guests might be jolted awake by cold tile floors. Ceramic tiles, commonly used in kitchens and bathrooms, get cold in winter. Installing an underfloor heating system will help keep the bathroom experience comfortable.

Customizing Your Bathroom

Just keep in mind that one feature alone won’t upgrade your guests’ experience. To find out which features can make your guests’ stay more comfortable, consult one of your local design build companies.

Don’t forget to vet contractors before hiring them. It’ll take a lot of expertise to optimize a small bathroom so you’ll need to check their qualifications.
